Every birth is special. Whether it takes place at the hospital or at home, each is beautiful and deserving of celebration. No matter how you birth your baby, everyone can benefit from having a Doula. As a professional Birth Worker, I truly believe peace on Earth begins with birth.
MY COMMITMENT TO YOU...
AS YOUR DOULA, I WILL PROVIDE:
Support:
Be present with undivided mental, emotional, and physical support during labor. Assistance with breast feeding and bonding immediately after birth. Follow up post partum appointment to provide further support and reassurance for mom and baby.
Guidance:
Provide guidance and encouragement throughout your pregnancy. Help you become an informed patient through education and providing you with valuable resources. Assist with the construction of a plan that states intentions for your birth experience. Serve as a guide into the unknown territory of birth.

Natural Pain Relief Techniques:
Offer suggestions throughout labor such as birth positioning and breathing techniques to promote progress and prevent medical interventions.

Patient Advocacy:
Act as an advocate on your behalf to ensure the birth plan is being honored to the best of capabilities. Will work as a team with your doctor and other medical professionals to promote your best birth.

Documentation:
If you wish, the birth can be documented via video and/or photography. Imagine how meaningful it would be to have candid photos of this once in a lifetime event! I will also provide a written recollection of your birth for you to have as a keepsake.
AS YOUR DOULA, I WILL NOT
Perform Clinical Tasks.
Although I am a Licensed Practical Nurse and that knowledge is to my own benefit; I will not be providing you with medical care. Cervical checks, blood pressure monitoring, induction of labor, etc. will be done by your medical professional.

Make Decisions For You.
Instead I will help you make informed decisions based on your own values and beliefs.

Project Any Of My Own Beliefs On Your Birth Experience.
I will be present to enrich your birth experience to the best of my capabilities. In no way do I judge your beliefs or decisions. I respect everyone from different religions, cultures, and ethnicities. This is your birth and I value making it the best experience it can be.

Support Only Natural Births.
​Studies prove that births attended by doulas tend to have less medical interventions (such as forcep deliveries, use of pitocin, c-section, etc.) I provide the means for natural pain relief and coping techniques, but in the end you are the decision maker.
